House is
BBC Radio Scotland's showcase for the best in
Scottish and International Jazz, written and
presented by Stephen Duffy.
Nominated in the Best Specialist Music Programme category in the 2007 Sony Radio Awards, this adventurous magazine programme features live music sessions and interviews with the leading names in jazz included Branford Marsalis, Sheila Jordan, Martin Taylor, BBC Big Band, Stan Tracey, Tommy Smith, Annie Ross, Dianne Reeves, Paul Towndrow, Polar Bear and Fionna Duncan to name a few.
As well sessions and interviews, each week Stephen highlights the leading historical figures in jazz in “Pocket Legends”, highlights Stephen’s advocacy and enthusiasm for all styles of Jazz
The success of The Jazz House is very much a team effort, and Stephen works closely with the show's producer Sushil K Dade (renowned as the sound artist Futurepilot aka), and the show's resident jazz educator, Richard Michael.
